<span;>From Telangana Movement to Development

<span;>TDF has been a steadfast supporter of Telangana, not just during the movement but whenever the state required it. TDF works tirelessly for the comprehensive development of Telangana across various sectors, including agriculture, health, skill development for youth, legal services, rural development, women’s empowerment, education, and healthcare. The forum helps farmers adopt modern agricultural techniques, conducts health camps for a healthy Telangana, and promotes skill development programs for the sustainable future of Telangana’s youth.

<span;>The formation of TDF itself is historic. In 1998, under the leadership of Professor Jayashankar, a delegation that visited the U.S. highlighted issues like water, funds, appointments, and the discrimination faced in education and employment under the Seemandhra rule. They identified self-rule and statehood as the solutions to these problems, which inspired the establishment of the Telangana Development Forum. In 1999, expatriates from Telangana established TDF in New York, USA, to continuously support the people of Telangana and strive for their welfare. TDF was created with the intention of serving as a think tank to rekindle the desire for a separate Telangana state, explaining the injustices faced, and motivating the people to participate in the movement.

<span;>Since its inception, TDF has tirelessly worked for the betterment of the people of Telangana without any profit motive. From projects like Jai Kisan, aimed at making agriculture profitable, to Mana Telangana Badi, which redefined education in the region, and Vanitha Cheyutha for women’s empowerment, Arogya Seva in healthcare, and various projects in arts and culture, TDF has been working relentlessly with the single agenda of the comprehensive development of Telangana, both in India and abroad. In this context, TDF organizers announced that they would soon be organizing grand celebrations for the Silver Jubilee of TDF.
