▪️ Professor Kasim calls for declaring ‘Lahujee Salve Jayanti’ as ‘National Independence Resolve Day’
Hyderabad: Under the leadership of the Telangana State Mang Samaj Association, the 230th birth anniversary of Krantiguru and mentor ‘Lahujee Salve’ was celebrated with grandeur at Osmania University (New Seminar Hall, Arts College). The event was presided over by Gaikwad Tulsidas Mang, President of the Telangana State Mang Samaj Association. The attendees began by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Lahujee Salve.
Professor Kasim, the chief guest, stated that Lahujee Salve was the first in the nation to conceive the idea of independence and dedicated his life to the country, making a pledge to either sacrifice his life or live solely for the nation without getting married. He appealed to the government to declare November 14th, Lahujee Salve’s birth anniversary, as ‘National Independence Resolve Day.’ He also emphasized the need to document the history of individuals like Lahujee Salve from the Mang Samaj in a book.
Professor Muthayya urged that Lahujee, the first freedom fighter who inspired many freedom warriors alongside other revered figures on Independence Day, be given the respect he deserves, noting his struggle as a source of inspiration for many.
Professor Mayadevi highlighted the support Lahujee provided to Mahatma Jyotirao Phule for girls’ education, which needs to be remembered.
Gaikwad Tulsidas Mang, President of the Telangana State Mang Samaj, praised Lahujee Salve as the first freedom fighter who devoted his life to the welfare of the nation and society. He lauded him as an immortal revolutionary leader who changed the course of Indian history.

Ramakanth Mang, Dilip Mang, Chandravardhan, Shivanand, Dayanand Mang, and several Mang Samaj members, student leaders, and students.
