Hyderabad:
The Physicians Association for Nutrition (PAN) India successfully conducted the 29th In-Person Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at Hyatt Place, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
PAN is a global NGO with a mission to eliminate diet related deaths by making evidence based nutrition a core part of the healthcare system. The event brought together healthcare professionals and nutrition experts to discuss the importance of evidence-based nutrition in managing non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Medical director of PAN-India, Dr Rajeena Shahin’s talk emphasised the need to make nutrition a core part of the healthcare system in order to tackle the current global health challenges.

Ex- Director of ICMR- NIN Dr. Hemalatha was the keynote speaker at the event. She underscored the significance of nutrition in preventive health and disease management, inspiring the audience to embrace a nutrition-focused approach in their practices.

Case presentations by Dr. Rajender Ramagiri (on diabetes remission) & Dr Prathusha Nerella focused on the remarkable results achieved through dietary changes and other lifestyle modifications in treating diseases.

A panel discussion on the role of nutrition in disease management was moderated by Dr. Amreeta Yanamandra. The panel comprising of very accomplished doctors from different specialties included eminent Gastroenterologist Dr Sundeep Lakhtakia, Paediatrician Dr Pallavi Maddukuri, Cardiologist Dr Karunakar Rapolu, Physician Dr Suresh Goud and Nutritionist Supraja, delved into the role of nutrition in managing various diseases and integrating it in medical practice.

Participants shared ideas and insights during the networking session, strengthening collaborations and fostering innovation. PAN India reaffirmed its commitment to advancing healthcare by promoting nutrition as a central component of patient care.

This CME program marked another milestone in PAN India’s mission to combat diet-related diseases and promote eco-friendly healthcare solutions.
