Las Vegas, Nevada: Jayanth Challa has assumed office as the new President of the American Telugu Association (ATA) during the organization’s executive meeting held in Las Vegas. He took over the responsibilities from outgoing President Madhu Bommineni and will serve as the President for the 2025–2027 term. Originally from Hyderabad, Jayanth Challa currently resides in Virginia.

 

In his address, Jayanth Challa emphasized his commitment to expanding ATA’s service initiatives in the Telugu states. He highlighted his plans to promote literary and cultural activities, increase participation in social service programs, and broaden the scope of ATA’s community outreach efforts.

 

Jayanth also announced that a new ATA Board meeting would be convened soon to resolve differences among board members regarding the Executive Committee election process. He assured that the upcoming elections for the new Executive Committee would be conducted through a secret ballot to ensure transparency and consensus.
