Jeddah: The Jeddah Kerala Pouravali Community organized a deeply meaningful Iftar gathering, exemplifying the spirit of human brotherhood, unity, and inclusivity. The event brought together representatives from various social, political, educational, cultural, and religious organizations, fostering a profound sense of solidarity. Adding to its significance, office bearers of district local bodies from all fourteen districts of Kerala also participated, highlighting the community’s shared commitment to harmony and togetherness.

 

Kabeer Kondotty, Chairman of Jeddah Kerala Pouravali, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the true essence of Ramadan. He underscored how fasting transcends mere abstinence from food and drink, serving as a path to spiritual purification, self-discipline, and personal growth. “Fasting nurtures the soul, cultivates compassion, and strengthens our moral compass. It reminds us of our shared humanity and the importance of empathy, humility, and gratitude in our daily lives, inspiring boundless acts of kindness and fraternity,” Kabeer stated in his message.

Beyond celebrating Ramadan’s spiritual values, the gathering also served as a platform to address pressing societal issues. Kabeer highlighted the community’s collective resolve to combat the growing menace of drug abuse, which poses a serious threat to society. He stressed that through awareness, education, and community-driven initiatives, Jeddah Kerala Pouravali is committed to building a healthier, drug-free future.

 

General Convener Mansoor Wayanad extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting a tone of unity and goodwill. Treasurer Shareef Arakkal delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming participation and support that made the event a resounding success. The seamless organization of the Iftar was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Beerankutty Koissan, Jaleel Kannamangalam, C.H. Basheer, Unni Thekkedathu, and Navas Thangal, who played pivotal roles in coordinating various aspects of the event.
